Today, adidas introduces its new Adizero apparel collection – a range of vests, shorts and accessories for head-to-toe performance looks.
Inspired by the triumphant “sound of winning” at the finish line during competition, the Adizero Running Singlet features subtle markings that emulate the waveforms of cheering crowds in a finishing straight. The singlet is constructed from PaceFlow – a new ultra-lightweight material to improve breathability, enhance comfort and minimize distractions.
The Adizero Control Short Tights are designed for distraction-free performance to help runners stay focused on running fast, featuring RHEON™ technology, which helps to actively support and control muscle movement during high intensity runs. Equipped with adidas’ AEROREADY technology and a snug fit with adjustable drawcords, the short tights keep runners feeling dry and comfortable for maximum comfort and support all the way to the finish line. Following consumer feedback, the shorts also feature a new back pocket, ensuring runners can carry their nutrition during hard workouts or races.
Available for men and women, the Adizero Running Singlet comes in Lucid Red and White colorways and costs R1599, and the Adizero Control Running Short cost R2499 and come in Lucid Red and Black colorways.
Completing the look is the AEROREADY Sleeve, Adizero Sock and Adizero Cap, the perfect accompaniment to the Adizero Adios Pro 4 – first introduced at the 2024 Berlin Marathon – which is now widely available to buy in-store, on adidas.co.za and via the adidas app.
The race-day shoe, worn on the feet of Sheila Chepkirui when she secured her first World Marathon Major victory on the streets of the Big Apple in November, costs R5499.
There will be further Adizero apparel and footwear packs coming out over the season, taking inspiration from major running destinations and influences all over the world.
